Ancestry Library Edition

Ancestry Library Edition is a new genealogy research tool that provides library patrons instant access to a wide range of resources for genealogical and historical research. Ancestry Library Edition includes records from the U. S. Census; military records; court, land, and probate records; vital and church records; directories; petitions for naturalization; passenger lists, and more! Access is granted with an AHJ Library card.

Candid Database

Candid Database – Candid is a nonprofit that helps other nonprofits serve their communities. We offer Candid’s key tools including GuideStar and Foundation Directory. Our patrons can access GuideStar to research local
nonprofits to support and to find services. Nonprofits and individuals seeking funding, scholarships,
or fellowships can access Foundation Directory to find and connect with funders.
 
How to access Candid resources:
Patrons can easily access resources by connecting to the library’s wired or wireless network. Once you’re logged in at your local library branch, you’ll have automatic access to the resources listed below—no additional login credentials required. Just remember, you need to use the full link for proper IP recognition.

Discus provides all South Carolinians with access to an electronic library of essential information resources. This set of core resources is made available to every citizen through South Carolina’s school, college and public libraries. Discus ensures equal access to information and learning resources regardless of race or socio-economic status.

Heritage Hub

Heritage Hub is a genealogy resource that explores family history with the premier collection of U.S. obituaries and death notices for in-depth genealogical research from 1704-today. Heritage Hub helps you identify relatives, uncover new information and potentially unknown family members. Includes deep coverage from all 50 states, hard-to-find content from the mid 1900’s, and original obituary images. Access is available 24/7.

Hoopla offers free streaming and downloading of an enormous selection of digital video (movies and TV shows), music, audiobooks, Ebooks and comics to patrons. Hoopla. Patrons can access Hoopla on iOS devices, Android devices, Nook, Kindle Fire, PC, Mac OS, Chromecast, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, and Roku.

It’s free with your AHJ library card and easy to get started for new users and a streamlined experience for current and new users.
